Template policy

This is a starting-point privacy policy. Have qualified counsel review and adapt it to your jurisdiction and practices before launch.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Litstreet (“Litstreet,” “we,” or “us”) collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Litstreet, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Account information. The email address you use to create and sign in to your account.
  • Profile information you provide. Details you choose to add, such as your name, professional role, company, city, and LinkedIn profile.
  • Content you post. Threads, replies, comments, and other material you submit to The Floor or elsewhere on the service.
  • Usage and log data. Standard technical information generated when you use the service, such as pages viewed, approximate device and browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the platform.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the publication and the community.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Display your profile and content to other members where you choose to share it.
  • Send service-related messages and, where you opt in, newsletters.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security issues.

Cookies & sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Authentication is handled through Supabase, which sets session cookies so you don't have to log in on every page. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the service may not function without them.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third-party providers to run Litstreet. Hosting and authentication are provided through Supabase. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their services to us.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by reaching us through our contact page, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

Children

Litstreet is intended for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
